Meeting times for 2010
MBG meetings are held at The Copper Kettle on the third Tuesday of every
month.
Arrive for 7.30am and grab a coffee or mug of tea
Meeting starts at 7.45am and finishes around 9.00am
Terms of Membership
1. Membership should represent a broad spectrum of professionals and trades but is limited to the number of representatives from each. Different functions within a trade or profession will be accepted for membership in their own right i.e. Solicitor - conveyancing/litigation.
2. Members meet for breakfast on the third Tuesday of each month at a restaurant, hotel or conference centre such as the Enham Centre, starting at 7.30 a.m. A cooked breakfast will be provided at £10.00 per head. This can vary if agreed by the membership.
3. An executive committee consisting of the Hon. Secretary, the Treasurer and any other members voted in at regular meetings shall administer the Group, such committee having not less than three members. The committee shall have the power to make decisions on behalf of the Group and power of veto over membership applications together with the facility to remove members as is felt appropriate. Three committee members will constitute a quorum.
4. Each prospective member should be acknowledged as providing a quality service and be proposed by a member in the first instance.
5. An annual membership fee of £20.00 is charged, reducing quarterly on a pro-rata basis. The membership fees will be used for such purposes as may be decided by the executive committee in quorum.
6. At each meeting a number of members/guests may be invited to speak on their own occupation/speciality or other such topic that may add value to the Group.
7. Each member is encouraged to bring guests to meetings at which time, or at any subsequent time, the guest may be proposed for membership. Acceptance or not of the proposal will be agreed as per #3 above.
8. Each member should introduce at least one new member each calendar year
9. Each member should make at least one presentation to the Group each calendar year.
10. Each member should supply information for the members directory.
